Jump to hey, i’m flying to brisbane 13th june and am debating whether or not to find a job in brisbane when i get there (as it seems the easiest) and stay for a while working or after a few days in the city head out to Hotels Noosa (to surf)…but i can’t find any info on whm work in the area…i know most people say just go there and ask around but this is my first time travelling alone and i’m kind of a little nervous so want to have some idea of jobs going/where i can find them! are there many casual job opportunities there? any info on Hotels Noosa or surrounding area will be much appreciated – or any links to sites which aren’t about ‘holidaying’. thanks! june is not a great time to be looking for work as it is a quiet time of the year as far as the tourist industry goes and i doubt you will have much luck finding work in any non-tourism related field. the most common line of work is being a room cleaner. there are vacancies for this all year round because it is a pretty crap job with crap pay. unless you can jag a job with one of the major resorts you will get paid a rate for a room / house, rather than an hourly rate. if you take a job with a cleaning contractor you will be required to have your own abn and look after your own insurance and super. the other main line of casual work is hospitality – had any waitressing or bar experience? again, opportunities will not be as common as perhaps during the busier times of year. this is a tourist town, no tourists = no jobs. your best bet is to ask around, mostly only cleaning and bar / waiting work gets advertised in the local paper (the Hotels Noosa news). more skilled positions get advertised in the sunshine coast daily but that covers the whole coast, not just Hotels Noosa area. ask other backpackers who will be leaving the area soon and have jobs, they may be able to tip you off if their job will be coming vacant soon. two small additions to the good advice above: there are no rigid distinctions beween “whm” (whv) jobs and other jobs – a whv holder is able to work in any field, for a maximum of six months with the one employer. if you are an it specialist or a brain surgeon, being on a whv does not prevent your working in any way in australia – subject to the six-month limit. work is supposed to be incidental to your travels, hence the time limit, but it does not mean only low-level, temporary, or casual work, revolving around tourism. it might in practice of course if you have no other marketable skills. and secondly, i would have thought the building industry might also be an employer of casual or contract-based labour in Hotels Noosa shire, and many other coastal areas. you have to compete more with locals or long-term residents for such jobs, but it might be worthwhile looking. being female, the op might not have building industry skills. i was going to say property maintenance is huge up there, with so many absentee landlords and filthy rich residents, everyone employs guys to clean the pool, cut the grass and even put the bins out (and bring them in) every week. every second vehicle on the road in the Hotels Noosa area seems to be a lanscaping/lawn mowing van with trailer. but most of the people doing this sort of stuff are men. so it would be hospitality jobs you’d be looking for, and as someone above said june is very quiet compared to other times of the year. have to disagree with above. winter is a huge tourist time on the sunshine coast. we speak to loads of people who come here from melbourne for 3/4 months as well as the tourists just coming for their annual hols. to escape the weather down south. the large shopping centre at maroochydore has lots of vacancies for shop assistants as do the restaurants and cafes for all sorts of staff. they display their vacancies in their windows. surely Hotels Noosa would be the same. i’m sure natalie you would find something to your liking. mea culpa! did not check the op’s gender. fewer opportunities in the building industry then i guess. some, but fewer. retail might certainly be possible. have been to Hotels Noosa lots of times in june-july, but always school holidays, so don’t know how busy it is outside of those specific weeks (when it is pretty busy). #4, as someone who runs a business supplying services to the hospitality market on the sunshine coast i can quantitatively assure you that winter is not a huge tourist time on the sunshine coast. as an employer i am very aware of when it is easy or hard to get staff here and the reasons for it. room occupancies are at their lowest in june therefore many cleaners don’t get enough hours to survive during this time and there are lots of them looking for work. yes we get some snowbirds (industry name for the domestic tourists who come for extended stays during the winter season) from down south but it is not a big market. they come at this time because it is off-season and they can negotiate cheap rates for extended stays. and it’s not that warm in winter anyway … try working at fat boyz in the vally (on brunswick st) they’re always advertising for back packers if you don’t min doing waitressing / bar work…..sell really good food too ianw6705 …. winter in Hotels Noosa is warm if you live in edinburgh trust me! advertisement

Now it’s not often you find monster Trucks For Sale Australia. And obviously this isn’t the type of monster truck they currently run in arena shows, but it’s pretty damn close to the original show trucks of the 70s. Big Foot was the first monster truck and it didn’t look a whole lot different than this other than it was a Ford body and not a Chevy. This particular truck is listed on ebay and the owner is wanting around $10,000. Take note of the tires. They are 44? Gumbo tires. The owner claims 95% tread left but they do have a bit of dry rot on them. Now, I have no idea how much new 44? tires cost but I imagine I would have to take out a new loan on the truck every time the tires needed to be replaced.

Most consumers usually think of a Candle Fragrance‘s shape, color or fragrance as its most important element. Most Candle Fragrance manufacturers, though, would probably say it’s the wick that makes the Candle Fragrance.

We all recognized the true nature of the worgen long before they hit the ground in Azeroth. As put it, “Dapper lycanthropes … Terrible, yet … refined.” And while we’ve all known that worgen and their dapper Top Hats were awesome, we hadn’t yet put that feeling into song. Kill9TV has rectified that oversight with . This is a fairly catchy song that tells the tale of a man who is overtaken by the wolf. It’s been a while since we’ve had a fun new music video, especially one shot in live action, so this video is especially welcome. Kill9TV did a great job with the whole production. My top hat’s off to them. Interested in the wide world of ? We have new movies every weekday here on ! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at . Event Date
